CAPSICUM	Powder and extract, can be rubbed on toothaches, inflammation and swellings, in treating arthritis, rub capsicum extract over the inflamed joint and wrap with flannel for the night. Is useful to stop bleeding internally and externally by helping to normalize the circulation. Capsicum and Plantain applied externally will draw out foreign bodies embedded in the skin.

CASCARA SAGRADA	Safe tonic, laxative, very important to keep the bowles open in illness and avoid constipation.

CHAMOMILE	Used as a tea, is safe for children in colds, indigestion and nervous disorders, relieves menstrual cramps, externally, apply to swellings, sore muscles and painful joints.

CHARCOAL	Used for diarrhea and intestinal gas, can be used as a poultice. Can be used in some poisonings.

Place on burn and wrap with flannel for the night.

EUCALYPTUS OIL	Useful for bronchial spasms, chills, colds, sore throat, rheumatism, good antiseptic and expectorant.

FLOWERS AND PLANTS, EDIBLE AND NUTRITIOUS	Chicory, Clover, Dandelion, Elderberry, Squash, Borage, Nasturtium Lamb's Quarters, Plaintain, Purslane, Rose Petals, Violets and Wild Watercress. You will need to look these up, with pictures, so you will know the nutrition of each, and how to use them properly. If ever caught in the woods, you will be able to look around and find any or all of these plants.

LOBELIA EXTRACT	Can be used internally and externally to relax all spasms, a few drops in the ear will relieve earaches, lobelia used with catnip as an enema is effective for fevers and infections, used externally in baths, compressions, poultices, and liniments for muscle spasms.

PEPPERMINT OIL	Aids nausea, an excellent stomach aid, assists in digestion, cleanses and gives tone to the entire body, sedative for nervous and restless persons of all ages, promotes relaxation and sleep.

RED RASPBERRY	Excellent for pregnancy, relieving nausea, prevents hemorrhage, reduces pain and eases childbirth, reliable for children for stomach problems, fevers, colds, and flu.

SARSAPARILLA	A hot decoction, made with an ounce of root in a pint of water, will promote profuse sweating and will act as a powerful agent to expel gas from the stomach and intestines.
